About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Senior Philanthropy Officer cultivates and stewards lasting donor relationships that fuel major and planned gifts. Working closely with a wide range of supporters, this position translates personal connection into meaningful philanthropic backing for the mission of the Honolulu Museum of Art, while serving as a trusted collaborator across the advancement team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and sustain relationship-based fundraising initiatives focused on major and planned gifts.
- Manage and grow a varied portfolio of individual prospects and committed donors.
- Inspire philanthropic support that advances the Honolulu Museum of Art's mission and programs.
- Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer and colleagues to align giving strategies with institutional goals.
- Act as a dependable advocate and collaborator within the broader advancement function.
Qualifications
- Proven experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major and planned gifts.
- Strong relationship-building skills with diverse individuals and donor communities.
- A collaborative, partnership-oriented approach to advancement work.
- Commitment to the arts and to the mission of a cultural institution.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Wake Island, Honolulu.
