What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary conditions and implement ordered respiratory care plans
• Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and related treatments while monitoring responses closely
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other specialized respiratory devices
• Collect and interpret arterial blood gases and pulmonary diagnostic findings to guide therapy adjustments
• Partner with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to refine care strategies and communicate patient progress
• Instruct patients and families on proper use of home respiratory equipment and self-management techniques
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and ensure all equipment and procedures meet safety and regulatory requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program with current CRT or RRT credential
• Active Massachusetts respiratory care license in good standing
• Valid Basic Life Support certification; additional advanced life support credentials valued
• Solid working knowledge of ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, and standard respiratory protocols
• Demonstrated critical-thinking, clear communication, and collaborative skills suited to acute care settings
• Ability to perform the physical and technical demands of bedside respiratory therapy on a full-time basis
