In this full-time role, you'll serve as the vital first point of contact in our Patient Placement department, coordinating seamlessly with clinical leaders to ensure patients move through our system efficiently and receive timely care.

About the Role

The Patient Placement Specialist– Telecrisis is the frontline coordinator for all patient placement activities within our hospital setting. Working in close partnership with the House Supervisor and Patient Flow Nurse, you'll manage the complex logistics of patient movement, bed allocation, and departmental transitions throughout each shift. Your communication and coordination skills directly impact the hospital's ability to serve patients effectively and maintain optimal throughput during peak demand periods.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for all patient placement inquiries and requests
  • Coordinate with nursing leadership and clinical teams to identify available patient beds and resources
  • Communicate placement options and timelines to patients and their families with clarity and compassion
  • Monitor real-time patient flow data and respond quickly to changes in hospital capacity
  • Document placement decisions and patient information accurately in our electronic systems
  • Collaborate with house supervisors to manage patient transfers between units and departments
  • Support crisis and telehealth program placement needs with attention to clinical priorities
  • Maintain detailed records and communicate status updates to relevant clinical and administrative staff
