About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at the Children's Justice Center, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to child protection and family wellbeing. This role combines clinical nursing expertise with advocacy for children's health and safety in cases involving maltreatment and trauma.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and provide direct patient care to children who have experienced abuse or neglect
• Document clinical findings and observations in accordance with legal and medical standards
• Collaborate with pediatricians, social workers, law enforcement, and child protective services to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on health and safety resources
• Maintain accurate medical records and support investigative processes when appropriate
• Support children's emotional and physical recovery through trauma-informed nursing care

What We're Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah or ability to obtain one
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families
• Commitment to patient-centered care and child advocacy
• Ability to work compassionately in a sensitive, high-impact clinical environment
• Experience in pediatrics, emergency nursing, or trauma-informed care preferred
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation and legal compliance
