About the Role

As a Graduate Nurse on our PCU team, you'll provide direct patient care in an intensive care setting designed for nurses early in their careers. This position works three 12-hour shifts per week on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with every third weekend and every third holiday. You'll work alongside experienced RNs and interdisciplinary teams at our 435 Lewis Avenue location.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to progressive care patients under clinical supervision
  • Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and communicate changes to the healthcare team
  • Perform clinical nursing procedures with guidance from experienced RN mentors
  • Collaborate with charge nurses and physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Support patient safety initiatives and infection prevention protocols across the unit
  • Participate in unit huddles and educational opportunities to strengthen clinical knowledge

What We're Looking For

  • Current Connecticut RN licensure or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Strong clinical assessment and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Openness to feedback and dedication to learning from experienced clinicians
