Join House of Trucking as an OTR (Over-The-Road) Owner Operator based in Ahoskie, Hertford County, and take control of your own trucking business with competitive earnings and operational flexibility.

About the Role

This is a full-time owner operator position where you'll run long-haul routes as an independent contractor. You'll earn 90% of each load's revenue, with typical weekly gross income of $8,000 to $10,000. Operating approximately 3,000 miles per week, you'll enjoy the independence of setting your own schedule while maintaining the backing and resources of an established trucking partner.

What You'll Do

  • Operate your tractor over long-distance routes across the country
  • Maintain your equipment according to DOT standards and company requirements
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Track hours of service using Samsara ELD with integrated front-facing camera technology
  • Deliver loads safely and on schedule

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with current medical certification
  • Minimum 2 years OTR driving experience (or equivalent)
  • Clean driving record and willingness to maintain safety standards
  • Commitment to passing pre-employment drug screening and maintaining a drug-free workplace
  • Your own tractor (no truck restrictions or specifications imposed)

Pay & Benefits

  • 90% of load revenue with weekly gross earnings of $8,000–$10,000
