MS SQL Senior DBA

Bosch Group is seeking an experienced MS SQL Senior Database Administrator to join our growing technology team in Bangalore, India. This is a full-time position based at our Hosur Road office where you will oversee critical database infrastructure and drive database excellence across our enterprise operations.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Database Administrator specialising in MS SQL Server, you will take ownership of our most demanding database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and business continuity. You'll play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the database environments that power Bosch's technology operations across India, making a direct impact on system reliability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain MS SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and execute optimisation strategies to ensure peak efficiency
• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to guarantee data protection and business continuity
• Administer user access, security policies, and compliance controls across database systems
• Conduct capacity planning and oversee infrastructure scaling to support business growth
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide technical guidance to development and operations teams
• Document database architectures, procedures, and system configurations for knowledge transfer and compliance

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator, with substantial expertise in MS SQL Server
• Advanced proficiency in SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, and patching
• Strong knowledge of high-availability solutions (AlwaysOn, replication, clustering) and disaster recovery planning
• Demonstrated experience with performance tuning, index optimisation, and query analysis
• Solid understanding of backup and recovery strategies with hands-on experience executing recovery procedures
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and basic networking concepts
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills
