Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing client in Augsburg seeking an EHSQ Specialist to ensure and continuously develop environmental, health, safety, and quality standards. You will monitor compliance with legal and internal requirements across environment, health, workplace safety, and quality domains.

Your day-to-day includes conducting and documenting risk assessments, hazard evaluations, safety inspections, hygiene rounds, and both internal and external audits. You will build, maintain, and advance the HACCP system to guarantee food safety, and support the introduction and development of management systems including EMAS, IFS Food, and ISO 45001.

You will plan and deliver training sessions, instruction, and awareness programs for employees, interns, and temporary staff. Processing and analyzing incidents, near-misses, and quality deviations is key, as is deriving and tracking suitable corrective and preventive actions. You will also support traceability and crisis management efforts.

Additional duties include creating, maintaining, and evaluating EHSQ documentation, reports, and metrics; updating and preparing technical documentation; preparing for and accompanying regulatory inspections; and serving as the point of contact for external service providers, authorities, auditors, and certification bodies. Close collaboration with production and other departments fosters a holistic safety, hygiene, and quality culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Completed vocational training or degree in EHS, workplace safety, quality management, food technology, environmental management, or a comparable field
  • Initial professional experience in EHSQ, quality management, workplace safety, food, or environmental management is advantageous
  • Experience in the food industry is desirable
  • Knowledge of HACCP and IFS Food, ideally with EMAS experience
  • Confident handling of legal and regulatory requirements in occupational safety, environment, hygiene, and quality
  • Experience conducting hazard assessments, audits, and training sessions is a plus
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work style
  • Strong sense of responsibility and high awareness of quality and safety
  • Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating across departments
  • Professional demeanor when dealing with authorities, auditors, and external service providers
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong German language skills, written and spoken
