About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization that is building the next generation of customer intelligence products. They are seeking a Mid/Senior Product Engineer to join their Intelligence team—a group focused on building cross-platform experiences that surface actionable data to users exactly when and where it matters most.
This is a fully remote role based in the USA. You must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Ship customer-facing features across the full stack with a focus on smooth user experiences, designing and building intelligence features from zero-to-one from loosely defined specifications
- Deliver exceptional front-end craft—caring deeply about responsiveness, streaming/loading states, accessibility, and the small details that make features feel reliable rather than gimmicky
- Stay close to customers by joining customer calls when needed, participating in support escalation rotation, and watching session recordings on features you own
- Own outcomes, not just output—working with product management to define specific outcome metrics, instrumenting them, and monitoring impact post-launch
- Co-author solutions with product managers and designers, bringing engineering judgment and craft while often shaping product thinking as well
- Own production readiness from the start, including automation, reliability, monitoring, alerting, and logging as integral parts of how you ship
- Use AI coding tools every day as part of your craft, staying fluent with tools like Cursor and Claude Code, and helping shape the team's AI workflow
- Partner with the talent team to interview future teammates when needed
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Strong full-stack engineering capability with substantial JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience, plus real front-end craft
- Ability to take initiative across the stack and ship end-to-end without waiting for others to own different layers
- High bar for AI quality—thinking in terms of evaluation, verification, and guardrails; measuring whether AI features work rather than assuming they do
- Genuine fluency with AI coding tools, treating them as part of your craft and moving fast without sacrificing judgment
- Customer fluency—actively seeking customer signal to stay connected to whether your work solves real problems
- Ownership of outcomes—measuring your work and comfortable iterating when metrics don't move as hoped
- Full development lifecycle ownership including automation, reliability, resilience, monitoring, alerting, and logging
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with ability to give and receive direct feedback
Nice to have:
- Experience making LLM features production-grade: latency/cost tuning, fallbacks and circuit breakers across providers, moderation/safety, and handling sensitive data responsibly
- Design sensibility and comfort partnering closely with designers to elevate interface craft
- Experience in customer support, productivity, or similar tools where trust and reliability are core to the product
Technical environment: TypeScript, React, Kotlin, Java, PHP, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, Kafka, Flink, RabbitMQ, MySQL, PostgreSQL, vector search, LLM tooling, AWS ecosystem
