Manager, Itemized Bill Review (Healthcare)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare intelligence organization in their search for a Manager, Itemized Bill Review. This is a remote position open to candidates across the United States. We're looking for an experienced leader who can oversee day-to-day operations, manage client communications, and drive team performance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Itemized Bill Review team, managing production expectations, SLAs, client communication, and team performance
• Analyze and track internal business requirements through document and workflow analysis
• Continuously evaluate functionality across multiple programs to ensure efficient and accurate reviews
• Perform requirements gathering to problem-solve process-related issues requiring development attention
• Manage team assignments and collaborate across departments to meet all internal and external SLAs
• Delegate tasks and oversee special projects involving the team
• Coordinate system enhancements, including ticket creation, UAT testing, and production deployment
• Monitor team performance, tracking metrics to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
• Develop and coordinate training materials, quality assurance processes, and dispute response workflows
• Act as liaison between operations and client success teams to address and resolve client issues
• Organize and coordinate onboarding for new team members
• Identify and implement additional cost savings for clients through review and research

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 3+ years performing audits of itemized bills
• 2+ years in a leadership position
• Proven experience with healthcare industry software products and process development
• Experience managing multiple projects in a team environment

Required Skills:

• Broad and comprehensive understanding of audit standards, policies, and regulations
• Strong knowledge of medical chart reviews
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills with ability to make sound decisions
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with an energetic and approachable style
• Proven experience managing high-performing dynamic teams
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a diverse, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience engaging with development teams and various software platforms
