Machine Learning Engineer (Remote or Relocation to Montenegro)

Overview

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. This is a remote opportunity with optional relocation to Montenegro, open to candidates across Armenia, Georgia, Montenegro, Serbia, Spain, and Turkey.

Our client operates at the intersection of financial technology and digital innovation, and they need an experienced ML engineer to lead implementation and optimization of machine learning solutions across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with business departments including Sales, Marketing, Product, Payments, and Trading teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable ML solutions
• Develop and deploy projects spanning LTV prediction, churn prediction, fraud detection, uplift modeling, and GenAI applications (AI agents, chatbots, MCP)
• Oversee existing ML solutions, managing improvements and expanding the role of machine learning throughout the organization
• Implement and enhance MLOps practices, establishing foundations for efficient model development, deployment, and monitoring
• Build version control for models, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines for ML systems

What We're Looking For

• Strong business acumen with deep understanding of where ML solutions deliver measurable value
• Technical expertise in Python, PyTorch, SQL (MSSQL, Postgres), ClickHouse, AWS services (SageMaker, Bedrock, EC2, EKS), Docker, FastAPI, Kafka, and Airflow
• Proven experience establishing MLOps practices including model versioning, automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment for ML systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS ML services or similar cloud ML platforms for model development and deployment
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, diverse data source types, and software development processes
• Experience with LLMs and frameworks such as AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, Agents, and MCP
• Intermediate English proficiency required
• Previous experience applying data science in mobile apps, gaming, or fintech environments is highly valued
