Position Summary

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in literacy, mathematics, science, and social-emotional learning
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported
• Guide students through play-based learning activities that build foundational skills and natural curiosity
• Assess student progress regularly and differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student development, classroom activities, and progress
• Manage classroom behavior using positive, age-appropriate strategies and routines
• Lead transitions and daily procedures that support structure and continuity
• Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support each student's success

What You Bring

• Valid California teaching credential for kindergarten
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Professional experience in kindergarten or early childhood education
• Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners
• Genuine passion for fostering a warm, inclusive classroom community
