Junior Commercial Insights Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital marketing organisation in their search for a Junior Commercial Insights Analyst to join their London team. Our client operates at the intersection of data, performance marketing, and commercial strategy, working with global brands in regulated and high-growth sectors.

This is a hands-on analytics role where you'll own meaningful analysis from day one. You'll work directly with commercial, marketing, and product teams to turn complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a portfolio of dashboards and reports used by senior leadership on a weekly basis
• Identify and investigate commercial questions across marketing, product, and technology teams, translating findings into clear recommendations
• Partner directly with stakeholders to scope analytical work—you'll help define the brief, not just respond to requests
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, and Looker with guidance from senior analysts
• Develop models that support commercial decisions including channel performance analysis, cohort analysis, and gross profit forecasting
• Write and optimise SQL queries against BigQuery to answer business-critical questions
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and develop new problem-solving approaches

What We're Looking For

• Degree in a mathematics or science-based subject
• One to two years of hands-on experience in an analytics or data role, including placements or internships
• Working knowledge of SQL and confidence with at least one BI tool such as Tableau, plus proficiency in Excel and GA4
• AI-native approach to work—you actively use AI to accelerate analysis, challenge assumptions, and complete in hours what traditionally takes days
• Commercially curious mindset with eagerness to understand the "why" behind the numbers
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with growing independence
• Strong communication skills—able to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Thrives in fast-paced environments and collaborative team settings
