IT-Systemadministrator Linux/Unix (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential IT services organization seeking an experienced Linux/Unix System Administrator for their location in Hilden, Germany.

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement complex high-availability solutions based on Keepalived
• Plan, realize, and manage complex IT systems using existing and newly integrated hardware
• Monitor operational processes and analyze log files
• Communicate technical information effectively to management level
• Troubleshoot system issues and participate in on-call rotation
• Drive technical development of cloud services
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Ensure IT security and data protection compliance

What We're Looking For

Our client requires:

• Completed degree in Computer Science or completed vocational training as IT Specialist for System Integration with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Strong quality awareness and independent, structured working style
• Good to very good knowledge in Linux server system administration
• Solid knowledge in virtualization (VMware / KVM), firewall configuration, and routing
• Ability to read and understand Bash and Python scripts
• Fluent German and English communication skills, both written and verbal
