IT-Forensiker / Analysten (mIwId)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity consultancy based in Frankfurt am Main, and our talent team is seeking an IT Forensics Analyst to join their specialized incident response practice.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced forensic investigators on critical security incidents:

• Support IT forensic analysis following cyber attacks under the guidance of senior colleagues
• Assist in the identification, isolation, and preservation of digital evidence, traces, and artifacts
• Contribute to data recovery efforts and malware identification and containment
• Participate in the step-by-step reconstruction of cyber attacks based on forensic findings
• Support the creation of legally compliant documentation and investigation reports
• Help develop and implement provisional infrastructure to maintain emergency operations
• Collaborate with internal teams to restore and secure compromised IT systems

What We're Looking For

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• Strong affinity for IT forensics and structured analytical thinking
• Initial experience or exposure to forensic methodologies
• Knowledge of various file systems, operating systems (particularly Microsoft and M365), and network protocols
• Ideally, hands-on experience with common forensic software and security tools
• Ability to work independently and systematically
• Excellent German and English language skills
