Overview
We are representing a confidential language services organization seeking qualified remote interpreters for Burmese and Karen. As an audio/video interpreter in our client's network of independently contracted professionals, you will handle on-demand calls and facilitate communication for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals across various settings. Our talent team is continuously accepting applications from qualified interpreters.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective audio and video interpreting through web-based platforms
- Answer inbound interpretation requests in a timely manner
- Deliver superior customer service to all parties
- Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
- Follow all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices
What We're Looking For
- Full fluency in English, Burmese, and Karen (required)
- Technology proficiency with web-based platforms, email, and Microsoft Word
- A quiet, secure interpreting space free from outside noise and distractions
- 1+ years of professional interpreting experience (preferred)
- Industry-specific certifications or trainings such as CMI, CCHI, or similar credentials (preferred)
