About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential Web3 infrastructure organization seeking an Infrastructure Engineer based in LATAM time zones. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge blockchain technology while maintaining mission-critical systems that power applications across fintech, DeFi, and analytics platforms.
Location: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, or Peru (remote)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the reliability and scalability of production services with 2.5-hour daily on-call and 1 paid weekend on-call per month
- Develop and manage complex hybrid infrastructure, primarily multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters, using infrastructure-as-code approaches
- Manage incidents and participate in on-call rotation to ensure high availability
- Enhance monitoring and alerting systems across the platform
- Identify opportunities to improve availability and performance through active observation and analysis
- Automate repetitive processes to reduce operational workload
- Plan, design, and execute technical solutions aligned with team goals
- Address scalability bottlenecks with immediate workarounds and long-term resolutions
- Create comprehensive documentation that explains the reasoning behind technical decisions
- Develop domain expertise and share knowledge with team members
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience operating mission-critical services with responsibility for reliability, uptime, and SLAs
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification required
- Based in Americas time zone
- Production experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc.)
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools such as Helm, Terraform, and Ansible
- Experience with monitoring solutions including Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, or similar
- Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
- Programming skills in Python and/or Go
- RDBMS experience
- Systems thinking mindset with attention to edge cases, failure modes, and behaviors
- Strong Linux and shell proficiency
- Proactive attitude toward fixing issues and improving systems
- Strong documentation habits to ensure knowledge transfer
- Intellectual curiosity about blockchain technology
