Information Security Risk Manager

TheHiveCareers is seeking an Information Security Risk Manager to join our team in Jamaica on a contract basis. This is a two-year renewable position where you'll deliver specialised security and technology risk management expertise to our project teams, ensuring our organisation maintains robust information protection standards.

What This Role Involves

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to project teams, translating technical requirements and architectural plans into actionable security risk assessments. Your work spans the entire lifecycle of our initiatives—from the earliest design phase through implementation—identifying potential vulnerabilities and guiding teams towards solutions that balance business objectives with security imperatives. You'll also lead baseline risk assessments across our technology environment and evaluate third-party arrangements to confirm they align with our security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution designs to evaluate security feasibility and identify risks to our organisation
• Assess applications, infrastructure, business processes, and external suppliers for potential security threats and exposures
• Collaborate with development teams and external partners to review penetration test findings on internet-facing systems
• Oversee code scanning activities for all new or modified deployments, ensuring compliance with our technical security protocols
• Track security issues identified during technical risk assessments, risk reviews, and penetration testing through to resolution
• Develop risk-based schedules for ongoing baseline security assessments, working alongside technology and business stakeholders to address significant vulnerabilities
• Review contracts and third-party agreements to verify information security policies are embedded and enforced
• Provide ongoing security risk guidance to projects, ensuring our policies, standards, and processes are reflected in delivered solutions
• Support senior management with additional risk and security matters as required

Who We're Looking For

• Demonstrated expertise in information security risk assessment and technology risk management
• Strong ability to analyse technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and requirements specifications
• Proven experience working with development teams on security testing and remediation activities
• Knowledge of penetration testing, code scanning, and security assessment methodologies
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and ability to translate security concepts for non-technical audiences
• Experience in developing and implementing risk assessment schedules and security governance processes
• Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across multiple teams and departments
