Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology organization in Egypt that needs an experienced Test Lead to drive quality and automation across multiple platforms. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and mobile testing
- Write and execute complex automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar technologies
- Perform hands-on testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing to ensure release readiness
- Conduct API and backend testing using Postman, RestAssured, SQL queries, and stored procedure validation
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose permanent fixes
- Optimize test execution pipelines within CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI
- Ensure non-functional testing (performance, load, security) is embedded into delivery cycles
- Develop reusable test components and share them across teams
- Act as the technical escalation point for QA team members, guiding them in troubleshooting and debugging
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Test Lead or Senior QA Automation Engineer with hands-on technical expertise
- Strong proficiency in automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent)
- Deep knowledge of API testing tools and methodologies (Postman, RestAssured)
- Experience with SQL queries and database validation including stored procedures
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
- Experience with performance, load, and security testing practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on production issues
- Excellent technical leadership and mentoring abilities
- Based in or willing to relocate to Egypt
