Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential educational technology organization seeking a Sound Designer to create immersive audio experiences for virtual reality learning platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your audio expertise with meaningful impact in the education space.

You'll design and implement original sound assets within Unity-based VR environments, creating spatial audio that enhances interactive learning experiences. This role sits at the intersection of creative sound design and educational innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce original sound assets that support educational objectives and enhance immersive VR experiences
• Implement and integrate audio directly into the Unity game engine, ensuring seamless integration
• Create rich spatial audio soundscapes optimized for virtual reality environments
• Collaborate with content designers and developers to develop audio schemes that support learning goals
• Build dynamic, interactive audio assets that enhance educational engagement
• Conduct user testing and iterate on sound design for clarity and effectiveness
• Adapt sound design techniques to evolving VR technologies and pedagogical approaches
• Maintain a comprehensive asset library for current and future projects
• Provide ongoing audio support for VR application development and maintenance

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in sound design, preferably within interactive or gaming environments
• Strong understanding of Unity and its audio implementation processes
• Familiarity with educational sound design principles and the role of audio in learning environments
• Ability to create diverse audio ranging from ambient soundscapes to dynamic interactive assets
• Experience with audio recording, editing, and mixing tools
• Basic knowledge of C# programming (a plus but not required)
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant sound design work
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for education and innovative technology
