ICT Project Manager

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential government sector client in Australia who needs an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead a critical CMS implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to drive a high-impact technology initiative from planning through delivery.

Australian citizens residing in Australia only. Baseline security clearance is preferred. This role is primarily offsite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CMS Project from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and within scope
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports to track progress and measure success
• Develop detailed implementation plans with clear milestones and deliverables
• Identify, assess, and control project risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Coordinate and contribute to a portfolio of ICT projects across the organization
• Ensure all deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards
• Manage stakeholder communications and expectations effectively

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record managing complex ICT projects, particularly CMS implementations
• Strong project management methodology knowledge (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
• Excellent skills in risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder engagement
• Experience creating detailed project documentation including plans, reports, and risk registers
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities
• Australian citizenship required
• Baseline security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
