About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential online gaming client that is consolidating operations across three UK locations following a recent strategic expansion. Our talent team is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to build unified people operations from the ground up across Norwich, London, and Manchester sites.
This is a hands-on role where you'll own the full HR lifecycle—from payroll administration and HRIS implementation to employee relations and performance management. You'll work closely with people managers and employees to create scalable processes while maintaining the flexibility each location needs.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage payroll for all three UK entities
- Unify and administer HR information systems across multiple locations
- Build HR processes from scratch including contracts, onboarding, off-boarding, employee files, and compliance frameworks
- Roll out and advise on performance management systems and individual employee cases
- Mediate interpersonal and employment-related conflicts
- Coach and brief people managers on leadership topics and HR processes
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee belonging initiatives
- Maintain regular presence across all three UK sites and occasional travel to European headquarters
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience as an HR or People & Culture Generalist, ideally within the UK market
- Solid knowledge of UK payroll and UK employment law
- Experience building HR structures in growing or newly integrated organisations (post-acquisition, start-ups, or scale-ups)
- Hands-on experience implementing or unifying HRIS systems
- Confident handling of performance management processes with proven mediation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong hands-on mentality with initiative to build structures from scratch
- Excellent communication and advisory skills across all organisational levels
- Willingness to travel regularly between Norwich, London, Manchester, and occasionally Hamburg
- Fluent English, spoken and written
