Mobile Application Developer – AI Finance Agent

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization expanding its mobile engineering team in Ireland. Our client is building a modern AI-powered finance platform, and we're seeking a talented Mobile Application Developer to own the native Android experience.

This is a remote role for candidates based in Ireland. You'll be working with a distributed team across multiple time zones, building customer-facing features that simplify complex financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Android features using Kotlin and modern Android architecture
• Create intuitive mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable, secure and reliable
• Improve app performance metrics including crash rate, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage
• Use analytics and production data to identify and resolve user experience issues
• Build AI-assisted mobile experiences where they genuinely enhance the user journey

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin
• Strong Android fundamentals with a track record of shipping production applications
• Solid knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture patterns
• Strong sense of mobile UX, usability and user flow design
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues
• Fast execution mindset with high ownership and attention to product quality
• Portfolio or examples of shipped work (app links, GitHub, screenshots) strongly preferred
• Strong English communication skills for working with global teams
• Must be based in Ireland with authorization to work

Technical environment: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android SDK, Coroutines & Flow, SQL/NoSQL databases, TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference
