Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise. This is a fully remote position where you'll develop and maintain Kubernetes Operators for a large-scale SaaS platform serving hundreds of enterprise customers globally, including major financial institutions.

Our client is transforming how organizations orchestrate complex business processes and is experiencing rapid growth. You'll work on critical infrastructure that manages customer clusters across multi-cloud environments (GCP and AWS), directly impacting platform reliability and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators to manage a multi-tenant SaaS platform serving enterprise customers worldwide
• Collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams to define, ship, and iterate on platform features
• Work on complex projects including multi-cloud expansion, multi-region deployments, and enterprise-grade security implementations
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to codebases for enhanced security, stability, and reliability
• Advocate for new ideas and contribute to building a team culture that values both creativity and practical engineering
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide third-level escalation support to maintain platform objectives

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Professional experience with Go or another relevant language for cloud-native software development
• Practical experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deep understanding of its core concepts
• Strong collaborative skills and willingness to share knowledge within a team environment
• Pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem-solving
• "You build it, you run it" mentality with passion for automation and quality

Nice to Have:

• Experience writing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators, ideally with Controller-Runtime and Kubebuilder
• Familiarity with infrastructure topics such as multi-region or multi-cloud setups, ideally with Crossplane
