What This Role Involves

As Housekeeping Leader at The Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, you'll oversee all guest-facing accommodation services, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, attention to detail, and hospitality that define luxury resort operations. You'll lead, mentor, and direct a housekeeping team to consistently deliver the five-star experience that guests expect from a Relais & Châteaux establishment on the BC coast.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and schedule the housekeeping department, ensuring optimal staffing and productivity across all guest areas
• Train, develop, and motivate team members to uphold the exacting standards required in luxury hospitality
• Inspect rooms and common areas daily to verify cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation standards are met
• Manage inventory, ordering, and proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Coordinate with other departments — front office, maintenance, and management — to ensure seamless guest service delivery
• Address guest concerns and special requests related to accommodation upkeep and comfort
• Monitor housekeeping budgets and labour costs while maintaining quality excellence
• Maintain detailed records and reporting on department performance and turnover

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing housekeeping operations in luxury or upscale hotels or resorts
• Strong knowledge of professional housekeeping practices, cleaning protocols, and health and safety standards
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and manage diverse teams effectively
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest cleanliness and service standards
• Reliability, integrity, and a guest-focused mindset
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
