About the Role

As a Bartender at The Wickaninnish Inn, you'll be a cornerstone of our guest experience, crafting thoughtfully prepared drinks while building meaningful connections with patrons. This full-time position offers the opportunity to showcase your bartending expertise in an upscale, sophisticated environment where attention to detail and genuine hospitality define your success. You'll work in an oceanside setting that attracts discerning travellers, cultural events, and celebrations, making every shift dynamic and rewarding.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer to the highest standards, following recipes and house techniques consistently
• Engage warmly with guests, learning preferences and recommending drinks that match their interests and the occasion
• Maintain a clean, organised bar workspace and ensure all glassware, tools, and equipment are properly sanitised and stocked
• Take orders efficiently, manage transactions, and ensure accuracy in billing and payment processing
• Collaborate with kitchen, server, and management teams to deliver seamless service during busy periods and events
• Follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service protocols

What You Bring

• Proven bartending experience in a full-service or upscale hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of spirit varieties, wine, beer, and classic and contemporary cocktails
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage authentically with diverse guests
• Physical stamina to stand and work efficiently during busy service periods
• Attention to detail, accuracy in pouring and measuring, and pride in presentation
• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive, team-oriented mindset
• Food Safe certification or willingness to obtain it
