Head of Revenue Operations & Systems

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global community and events organization in their search for a Head of Revenue Operations & Systems based in Berlin. Our client operates at significant scale, serving tens of thousands of professionals through conferences, digital content, and research initiatives.

This is a leadership role from day one. You will manage a team of two and report directly to senior leadership, with full ownership of the operational data layer, marketing technology stack, event infrastructure, and revenue operations systems. The organization has already begun modernizing its operations—you will be accelerating and completing that transformation, not starting from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Replace fragile point-to-point integrations with a robust operational data layer that scales with the business
• Own CRM operations including enrichment, deduplication, and lead scoring to unblock marketing campaigns
• Build self-service data access for non-technical teams, reducing dependency on engineering for routine queries
• Establish performance marketing measurement by connecting ad platform data (LinkedIn, Google, Meta) to CRM and attributing spend to actual outcomes
• Maintain a comprehensive tool registry and lead cross-functional decisions on tool selection and retirement
• Stabilize ticketing and webinar operations ahead of high-volume event periods
• Manage and develop the operations team, assessing where additional hiring is needed
• Deliver operations reporting on a predictable calendar aligned with quarterly business planning

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Hands-on technical skills: you design and build data pipelines and workflows directly using SQL and code, not only through no-code tools
• Proven experience building performance marketing and ad-tech systems, including conversion tracking, click-ID matching, attribution pipelines, and CRM integration
• Technical expertise with CRM platforms (HubSpot or equivalent): custom objects, workflows, API integrations beyond basic administration
• Strong data modeling and architecture capabilities: designing schemas in Postgres or similar, and making thoughtful decisions about warehouse versus CRM data placement
• Track record of making tooling decisions that serve the entire organization, not just technical convenience
• People management experience—you will manage two direct reports from week one
• Ability to pick up momentum from partially-completed projects and drive them to completion

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automation platforms (n8n, Zapier) and knowing when to replace them with more robust solutions
• Familiarity with ad platform APIs (LinkedIn Marketing API, Google Ads API, Meta Conversions API) and server-side tracking implementations
