About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing financial technology firm in London that is transforming how private market investments are managed. Our client has achieved product-market fit and is scaling rapidly, processing hundreds of millions in investment flows annually. They need an exceptional operations leader who can turn manual processes into automated systems.

This is a rare opportunity to own and rebuild an entire operations function from the ground up. You will lead a small, elite team and work directly with founders to automate workflows using AI and modern tooling. The goal is ambitious: scale deal volume 10x without proportional headcount growth by systematically replacing human-driven processes with intelligent automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 2-3 senior operators plus supporting deal operations staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Own the full operations lifecycle from investment launch through to exit, including post-close governance and customer experience
• Design and execute an automation roadmap, building solutions yourself using AI tools, no-code platforms, and scripts before escalating to engineering teams
• Simplify and streamline every process, eliminating unnecessary workflows and setting clear boundaries on what the function will and will not support
• Handle high-value customer escalations and edge cases requiring judgment, ensuring rapid resolution and exceptional service
• Set cultural and performance standards for the operations function, focusing on root cause fixes rather than firefighting
• Work embedded with the team, spending significant time building automation solutions directly rather than only managing

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record of building concrete automation solutions using AI, no-code tools, scripts, or custom applications—either professionally or independently
• At least 3 years directly managing teams of 5 or more people, including senior individual contributors
• Extreme attention to detail with the ability to understand systems end-to-end while staying on top of execution
• First principles thinking: ability to question why processes exist and redesign them from the ground up rather than accepting industry conventions
• Demonstrated bias for speed and ownership, with evidence of forcing things into existence without waiting for permission
• Comfort operating in a high-intensity, fast-moving environment where brutal honesty and high standards are the norm
• Strong plus: prior experience in regulated financial services, though exceptional builders from other backgrounds will be considered
• Must provide examples of things you have built with AI tools when applying

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: £120,000 - £150,000 base salary, plus meaningful equity grant. The mix of cash and equity is flexible based on candidate preference.

This role is based in London and requires at least three days per week in the office. Additional benefits include private health insurance, £1,000 annual wellness budget, enhanced parental leave, 4% pension contribution, 33 days total time off, up to 6 weeks work-from-anywhere annually, and birthday leave.
