About This Position
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to shape the direction of our Talbot claims function. You'll oversee the end-to-end claims operation, leading a talented team whilst delivering exceptional service to policyholders and stakeholders. Your vision and expertise will directly influence how we handle complex claims, mitigate risk, and strengthen our market position in London and beyond.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor and develop the claims team to foster a high-performing culture
- Set and implement claims strategy aligned with divisional and group objectives
- Manage claims processes, quality standards and performance metrics to meet service level agreements
- Oversee complex and high-value claims handling, ensuring appropriate technical expertise is applied
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, underwriting teams and external partners
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies across all claims operations
Requirements
- Extensive experience in claims management, ideally at senior or leadership level
- Proven track record managing claims teams and delivering operational results
- Deep knowledge of claims processes, insurance products and loss adjusting principles
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional qualification in insurance or related field is advantageous
- Ability to lead through change and drive strategic initiatives
