Global Medical Affairs Senior Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical device manufacturer with a global presence in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. This is a fully remote senior leadership role based in Spain, offering the opportunity to shape medical affairs strategy across international markets.

Our talent team is seeking a Global Medical Affairs Senior Manager to lead scientific initiatives, build strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders, and drive evidence-based communication of clinical data. You'll work at the intersection of science, strategy, and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of global Medical Affairs strategies and scientific initiatives aligned with corporate objectives
• Build and maintain strategic scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, and healthcare stakeholders
• Lead scientific exchange with external experts, ensuring balanced, evidence-based communication of clinical data
• Identify evidence gaps and support evidence generation initiatives including investigator-initiated studies, real-world evidence, and scientific collaborations
• Gather and analyze medical insights from healthcare professionals and international markets to inform medical strategy and product lifecycle management
• Provide scientific leadership throughout the product lifecycle, including clinical evidence dissemination and responses to medical information requests
• Review and approve scientific and promotional materials, educational content, and external communications for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistency
• Partner with Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial teams while maintaining Medical Affairs independence
• Contribute to planning and execution of advisory boards, scientific congresses, expert meetings, and publication strategies
• Support development and approval of scientific publications, abstracts, manuscripts, and evidence summaries
• Monitor emerging scientific literature, clinical evidence, treatment guidelines, and competitor activities to identify strategic opportunities
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations, ethical standards, industry codes, and company compliance policies

What We're Looking For

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or related healthcare discipline required
• PhD or master's in healthcare considered mandatory without previous experience in relevant surgical implant domains

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry
• Previous exposure to Medical Affairs, Medical Education, scientific projects, or healthcare stakeholder engagement preferred
• Experience in aesthetic or reconstructive surgical devices considered a plus

Languages:

• Fluent English required
• Fluent Spanish and basic Portuguese highly desirable

• Strong scientific acumen with ability to critically evaluate and communicate clinical evidence
• Excellence in scientific communication and medical storytelling for internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to develop trusted scientific partnerships with KOLs and healthcare professionals
• Expertise in medical insight generation and translating field insights into actionable strategies
• Strong understanding of Medical Affairs principles, evidence generation, and product lifecycle management
• Experience reviewing scientific claims for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with approved labeling
• Strategic thinking to identify evidence gaps and emerging clinical trends
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with ability to influence while maintaining scientific independence
• Strong project management and organizational skills in fast-paced global environments
• High ethical standards and commitment to compliance with industry regulations
• Adaptability in multicultural, cross-regional matrix organizations
