Software Engineer (Golang/TypeScript/React)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Software Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This remote role is based in Colombia and requires working Monday–Friday, 9–5 EST/EDT, with potential on-call support.

You'll contribute to a platform that processes large volumes of cross-border financial data, helping enterprise clients make strategic business decisions through analytics and insights. This is a chance to influence technical direction, raise engineering standards, and build features that directly impact how organizations understand international payments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications
• Build performant, component-driven user interfaces using the established design system
• Improve performance and observability across services and applications
• Enhance team productivity through automation, process improvements, and adoption of new technologies
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders across the organization
• Participate in code reviews and help establish quality standards for the team

What We're Looking For

Required skills:

• Strong proficiency writing Golang services and web application backends
• Experience deploying applications in Docker containers
• Proven ability building componentized frontends in React and TypeScript
• Solid SQL skills with focus on performance
• Understanding of clean code principles and language idioms for TypeScript and Go
• Ability to quickly learn new business domains and products
• Clear communication skills when discussing complex technical topics
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and skill development

Bonus experience:

• Concurrent programming patterns (goroutines)
• CI/CD pipeline development, particularly GitLab CI
• Observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• AI tools for productivity enhancement
• MaterialUI, Airflow, Python, or Terraform
• MariaDB, Clickhouse, or AWS environments
