Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential education-technology organization in Germany seeking a Senior Product Manager to shape their vocational retraining portfolio. In this role, you will:

• Develop and modernize a portfolio of state-funded IT retraining programs, working within the frameworks of publicly subsidized education (SGB II, SGB III, Bildungsgutschein, AZAV)
• Lead product development for IT specialist retraining courses and adjacent educational offerings, with responsibility for certification requirements and curriculum design
• Apply didactic expertise to create modern learning formats that combine digital and in-person delivery
• Manage multiple stakeholder relationships across product development, content creation, sales, and operational teams
• Define and continuously improve concepts, curricula, and learning materials to meet certification standards
• Conduct product training sessions for sales teams, explaining product features and positioning
• Contribute to the learning culture of educational programs delivered to end learners
• Work within project structures using tools such as SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, Moodle, and internal management systems

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with deep experience in the German subsidized education market combined with product management expertise:

• Degree in education management, pedagogy, IT/software development, or equivalent professional experience specifically in subsidized vocational retraining
• Proven product management experience with strong interest in software development and system administration domains
• Knowledge of publicly funded education frameworks in Germany (Bildungsgutschein, AZAV certification)
• Understanding of modern didactic concepts and learning format design
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with SharePoint, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Moodle, and education management systems advantageous
• AI/ML familiarity is a plus
• Excellent German language skills for effective stakeholder communication
• Self-directed, structured, and solution-oriented work style with strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• Analytical and conceptual thinking combined with hands-on execution mentality
• Excellent communication skills and confident presence with diverse stakeholders
• Diplomatic skill in moderating challenging alignment processes and reconciling competing interests
• Innovation-minded with openness to change; resilience in dynamic environments
