About This Opportunity

We are representing a global life sciences organization with operations spanning 190+ countries. Our client is seeking a Global Buyer Planner to join their supply chain team in a fully remote capacity based in India. This role combines strategic procurement, demand planning, and supplier relationship management to support critical operations that advance healthcare innovation worldwide.

As part of our talent team at Get A Job.ai, we're looking for an experienced supply chain professional who can drive optimization across a complex, multi-site manufacturing and distribution network. You'll work at the intersection of procurement, planning, and analytics, directly influencing service levels and operational efficiency for a leading healthcare solutions provider.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned product categories in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams
• Manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to meet service level targets while minimizing excess or obsolete stock
• Create and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials, ensuring on-time delivery across global sites
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal manufacturing facilities to expedite or reschedule orders based on demand or supply changes
• Maintain material master data in ERP systems, including item descriptions, lead times, and pricing information
• Serve as primary procurement contact for assigned suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and service level agreements
• Coordinate planning, procurement, and materials management activities across the client's global network of manufacturing sites and distribution centers
• Analyze historical data, monitor KPIs, and recommend process improvements to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency
• Provide visibility and reporting on supply chain KPIs, inventory status, and procurement performance using tools like SAP, Power BI, and advanced analytics
• Support supplier onboarding, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to strategic sourcing strategies, category management plans, and digital transformation initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience in a Buyer, Planner, or Procurement role, preferably in a global, multi-site environment
• Proven track record of driving supply chain optimization and process improvements
• Proficiency in SAP ERP (or equivalent ERP system) for procurement, materials management, and reporting
• Strong skills in data analysis, forecasting, and KPI management using Excel, Power BI, and SQL
• Understanding of supply chain planning methodologies such as MRP, S&OP, Lean, or Six Sigma
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Supply Chain or MBA
• Experience in the life sciences, diagnostics, or medical device industry
• Familiarity with digital supply chain technologies including automation, AI/ML, or IoT
• Strategic planning and decision-making expertise
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and change management capabilities
