Front-End Web Specialist (12-month fixed term contract)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in their search for a Front-End Web Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis in London. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days per week.

Our client is seeking someone who can bridge the gap between web development and business stakeholders—someone who thrives on bringing order to complexity and understands how websites are actually built. You'll own the intake and lifecycle of web requests, ensure proper scoping before projects enter the development queue, and maintain quality standards across every release.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Build and deploy pages and components directly in a headless CMS (Storyblok), handling component configuration, staging, QA, and production deployment across market versions
• Conduct technical QA on every release—checking rendering, functionality, and cross-browser/device behaviour beyond just visual review
• Own intake for all web requests: qualify, triage, and estimate technical complexity and dependencies before scheduling
• Enforce briefing standards and determine what can be handled directly versus what requires development team involvement
• Act as day-to-day project manager between the development team and business stakeholders, tracking scope, delivery, and risk
• Maintain the web backlog and sprint board with clear status updates and ownership
• Support conversion rate optimization initiatives by helping build A/B test setups, documenting hypotheses, and tracking experiment results
• Use AI tools as part of daily production work while understanding where human oversight is essential, particularly for localization and experiment validity
• Produce regular status updates and pipeline reports for leadership

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

• 2 to 4 years in web operations, technical/digital project management, or web production—ideally with hands-on CMS or front-end exposure (not purely marketing coordination)
• Working technical literacy: solid HTML/CSS fundamentals, understanding of CMS structure (Storyblok, Contentful, Webflow or similar), staging versus production workflows, and proper QA processes
• Comfortable using AI tools in production environments (prompting, QA'ing output) and able to articulate where AI output requires human verification
• Product/project-management instincts: ability to scope requests, assess complexity, prioritize competing demands, and brief developers with minimal hand-holding
• Confident translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and comfortable pushing back on briefs or deadlines when necessary
• Strong written communication skills for briefing, QA notes, and status updates

Nice to have:

• Direct experience with Storyblok or comparable headless CMS platforms
• Familiarity with web analytics or conversion tracking concepts
• Exposure to A/B testing/CRO tools, or basic SQL
• Experience briefing or QA'ing development teams
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals and page performance
• SEO fundamentals as they relate to web production
