About This Position

We're seeking experienced subtitling linguists who are fluent in one or more of our priority Indian languages—Odia/Oriya, Gujarati, and Kannada. As a remote team member, you'll translate and adapt dialogue, ensuring that subtitles maintain both accuracy and natural flow for audiences across regional markets. Your work will directly shape how stories are experienced by millions of viewers, making this role essential to our content localization mission.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Create accurate, contextually appropriate subtitles from source audio in English or other languages, rendering them into Odia/Oriya, Gujarati, or Kannada
• Maintain consistent tone, terminology, and cultural authenticity across subtitle projects
• Synchronize timing and formatting of subtitles to match video playback requirements
• Collaborate with project managers and quality teams to meet deadlines and content standards
• Proofread and refine subtitle files, ensuring linguistic accuracy and readability
• Adapt idioms and cultural references to resonate appropriately with target regional audiences

Who We're Looking For

• Native or fluent proficiency in Odia/Oriya, Gujarati, and/or Kannada, combined with strong English comprehension
• Demonstrated experience in subtitling, translation, or comparable linguistic work
• Attention to detail and ability to work within strict time and format constraints
• Familiarity with subtitling software and video timing tools (training provided if needed)
• Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to localize content sensitively
• Reliable internet connection and ability to meet consistent project schedules
