The Opportunity

As a full-time Substitute Infant/Toddler Teacher with Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo, you'll play a vital role in nurturing early childhood development. This position offers you the chance to deliver quality early care and education when classroom teachers need support, ensuring continuity and stability for our youngest learners.

What You'll Do

• Provide attentive, responsive care that supports the social, emotional, and developmental needs of infants and toddlers
• Implement our evidence-based educational program within your assigned classroom
• Create a safe, welcoming learning environment that encourages exploration and discovery
• Partner with families to share observations and support each child's growth
• Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and well-being
• Model positive behaviors and build trusting relationships with the children and families you serve

Qualifications

• Completed units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education (or ability to complete them)
• Genuine passion for working with infants and toddlers
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families and team members
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy classroom environment
• Reliability and flexibility to meet classroom needs as a substitute educator
