Lead, Distribution Encoder

Pixelogic Media Partners, LLC is hiring a Lead, Distribution Encoder to manage our media encoding operations in 6th of October, Giza Governorate, Egypt. In this full-time role, you will lead a technical team, oversee encoding workflows, and drive quality standards across our distribution pipeline.

Core Duties

• Manage daily encoding operations and oversee all technical aspects of media distribution pipelines
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of distribution encoders, providing technical guidance and performance support
• Ensure all encoded media meets quality standards, delivery specifications, and client requirements
• Troubleshoot complex encoding challenges and optimise workflows for efficiency and speed
• Work with content teams, producers, and delivery partners to confirm specifications and timelines
• Document encoding procedures, maintain technical standards, and implement best practices
• Monitor quality assurance processes and recommend continuous improvements

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience as a professional encoder or in a closely related technical role
• Deep knowledge of video codecs, formats, and modern encoding software
• Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate technical teams
• Proficiency with industry-standard encoding platforms and delivery tools
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration abilities
• Familiarity with streaming protocols and delivery specifications
