VP of Operations

We're looking for a Vice President of Operations to lead our operational strategy and execution at Platzi, based in Bogotá, Colombia. In this full-time role, you'll drive efficiency, scalability, and excellence across our entire operations function.

What This Role Involves

As VP of Operations, you'll oversee the end-to-end operational framework that keeps Platzi running smoothly. You'll own process design, operational performance, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination across departments. This is a leadership position where you'll set standards, build high-performing teams, and create systems that support rapid growth. You'll report directly to senior leadership and have a seat at the table for strategic decisions that shape our future.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives and market opportunities
• Build, mentor, and scale the operations team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Establish key performance indicators, monitor metrics, and drive data-informed decisions across operational functions
• Optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and implement best practices in project management and resource planning
• Manage relationships with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
• Drive cost efficiency and budget management without compromising quality or service standards
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that support product development, go-to-market activities, and organizational growth

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of operations leadership experience in a fast-growing technology or SaaS environment
• Proven ability to design systems, improve processes, and scale operations from startup to enterprise level
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and operational efficiency
• Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated success building and motivating teams
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and comfort working with data
• Fluency in English and Spanish preferred; experience working in multicultural environments a plus
