About This Position
This is a Full Time position based in Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a Fullstack Software Developer at PolicyStreet, you'll work across the complete technology stack, contributing to both frontend and backend systems that power our insurance and financial services platform. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features that make insurance more accessible to customers throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs that handle customer transactions and data
- Write clean, maintainable code across frontend and backend layers, following established coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical implementations
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on customer impact
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in modern web development frameworks and languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go
- Strong understanding of database design and SQL
- Experience building RESTful APIs or similar backend services
- Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in financial services or insurance technology is a plus
