About the Role

As our Operator Foreman, you'll manage heavy equipment operations on project sites while ensuring strict adherence to Mortenson's safety protocols and all applicable state and federal regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines your technical expertise with supervisory responsibility for day-to-day field operations.

What You'll Do

• Operate heavy equipment according to project specifications and established safety standards
• Plan and organize daily operator assignments based on project scope and requirements
• Direct and supervise operators to meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety
• Ensure full compliance with Mortenson safety policies, procedures, and regulatory mandates
• Coordinate equipment needs, maintenance schedules, and operational performance with project management
• Document equipment operations, track performance metrics, and report incidents or concerns

What We're Looking For

• Extensive hands-on experience operating heavy equipment on construction or industrial projects
• Demonstrated experience supervising and directing equipment operators
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety best practices
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain required equipment operation certifications
• Experience coordinating with project management and understanding project workflows
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety-first operations in all conditions
