Key Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end AI system architectures that meet operational and performance requirements
• Lead the design of machine learning pipelines, model serving layers and integration frameworks
• Establish technical standards, reference designs and best practices for AI delivery
• Guide evaluations of models, tools and platforms to select fit-for-purpose components
• Partner with engineering, product and data teams to align solutions with organisational goals
• Oversee production readiness, monitoring strategies and continuous improvement of AI services
• Mentor architects and engineers while reviewing designs for quality and scalability
• Anticipate capacity, security and compliance needs within AI estates

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a lead or principal architect delivering enterprise AI or machine learning platforms
• Deep knowledge of modern AI and ML frameworks, model lifecycle management and scalable serving patterns
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and data engineering foundations
• Demonstrated leadership of technical decisions across multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to communicate complex architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid understanding of MLOps practices, observability and production operationalisation
• Relevant degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Preferred experience coordinating work across international locations consistent with the CH/UK/India/DE scope
