About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential sports technology organization seeking Football Tracking Technicians to support elite-level match operations across the South Coast region. This casual hourly role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge tracking and officiating systems used in top-tier football competitions.
You'll work on-site at stadiums in Bournemouth and Brighton, supporting the setup, calibration, and live monitoring of advanced sports technology systems. This position is ideal for technically-minded individuals with a passion for football who are seeking flexible work aligned with the match-day calendar.
Responsibilities
- Rig and deploy tracking technology equipment at stadium locations, including running cables, mounting cameras, and working at height
- Connect and configure PCs and hardware within stadium fibre-optic networks
- Conduct pre-match setup, hardware checks, and technical calibration of tracking systems
- Optimize camera alignments and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time during live matches
- Monitor hardware and software performance throughout match-day operations
- Coordinate with remote operations centres, technical leads, and replay operators
- Liaise professionally with stadium staff, match officials, and broadcast personnel
- Report technical errors and maintain operational documentation
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, networking, and fibre-optic connectivity
- Quick aptitude for learning new technology systems and software
- Strong schedule flexibility with primary weekend availability and occasional midweek evenings
- Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Bournemouth and Brighton stadiums
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and calm demeanor under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Professional attitude in client-facing, high-visibility scenarios
- Genuine passion for football with strong knowledge of the sport
- Physical capability for demanding work including cable running and working at height
Desirable Experience:
- Broadcast or live events background
- Video routing knowledge
- Experience with Audio Over IP devices

- Work schedule follows the football fixture calendar, concentrated on weekends with midweek commitments
- High-pressure environment supporting live broadcasts distributed to millions

Pay
