Senior Category Manager Non-Food (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead strategic development across multiple non-food categories. In this role, you will take ownership of category performance while managing supplier relationships and leading cross-functional initiatives that impact multiple teams.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Category Management: Assume responsibility for several product categories and drive their continuous strategic evolution
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Category Managers and Associates, including coaching, performance feedback, and career development
• Project Leadership: Spearhead cross-functional projects focused on process improvement and implementation of organizational strategies
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to ensure optimal category performance
• Strategic Analysis: Balance critical trade-offs across pricing, promotional activities, and product availability within your portfolio

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking a strategic leader with proven category management expertise and the ability to drive both team performance and commercial results.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, or a related analytical field
• 4+ years of professional experience in Category Management or Procurement
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and emotional intelligence to motivate and effectively guide a team
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and optimization potential
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to challenges and innovative solution development
• Willingness to work on-site four to five days per week in Düsseldorf
