Finance Assistant/Accountant (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential hospitality client in Berlin seeking a Finance Assistant/Accountant to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work within an international hotel group while maintaining oversight of all financial operations at the property level.

As a key member of the finance team, you will serve as the critical interface between on-site operations and central controlling and finance teams across Germany and international headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Process and post incoming and outgoing invoices
• Execute and reconcile payment runs and monitor ongoing transactions in SAP
• Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable, including dunning processes
• Process credit card and online payments and post commission journals
• Manage procurement processes in collaboration with operational departments
• Support monthly and year-end closings in cooperation with the central finance team
• Prepare reports for hotel management and international headquarters
• Collaborate closely with central accounting and controlling teams
• Assist with capital expenditure accounting, including verification of deliveries and forwarding
• Organize and archive financial documents and communicate with suppliers and internal departments

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial training/education with solid understanding of financial processes, ideally in hospitality
• Experience in accounting and financial administration (procurement processes, cost centers, payment processes, preparatory monthly and annual closings)
• Strong German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Experience working with systems such as SAP or online banking platforms
• Reliability and accuracy in processing financial data
• Structured and independent working style
• Enjoyment of teamwork and collaboration with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
