East Baton Rouge Parish School System is hiring an Executive School Secretary for our LaSalle Elementary school in East Baton Rouge. This full-time position is central to our school's administrative operations, supporting leadership and ensuring smooth daily operations for students, staff, and families.

About the Role

As an Executive School Secretary, you'll serve as a trusted administrator's right hand, managing confidential communications, scheduling, and crucial office functions. This role bridges school leadership with faculty, students, and the community—requiring both keen organizational skills and genuine interpersonal warmth.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments for school administrators and staff
• Manage correspondence, records, and confidential documents with attention to data security and privacy
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and respond to community inquiries professionally
• Prepare reports, agendas, minutes, and other administrative documents
• Process attendance, grades, and personnel records in accordance with district guidelines
• Support school events, faculty meetings, and parent engagement activities
• Maintain office supplies, equipment, and filing systems
• Assist with budget tracking and expense documentation

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (some college or relevant experience preferred)
• Proven experience in a school office, administrative, or clerical role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and basic school management systems
