High School Science Teacher – Summer School Program – Biology and Physics

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools invites a qualified educator to join our summer school faculty as a High School Science Teacher in our Biology and Physics program. This full-time summer teaching position runs from June 22 through July 23, 2026, at Canton High School and is ideal for educators looking to support student learning during the intensive summer session.

About This Position

This full-time summer role offers the opportunity to teach biology and physics to high school students in an accelerated, focused learning environment. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 7:25 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., providing a structured yet compressed schedule. You'll work with motivated summer learners who are advancing their science education through our comprehensive summer program at Canton High School.

Core Duties

• Design and deliver clear, engaging lessons in both biology and physics disciplines
• Create a productive classroom environment that encourages student participation and scientific inquiry
• Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with district standards
• Provide constructive feedback to help students master core concepts
• Collaborate with other summer program staff to support comprehensive student success
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
