About the Role

As a Shift Leader you will guide a team of associates, ensure the store runs smoothly during your assigned hours, and act as the point of contact for both customers and staff. You’ll help maintain a welcoming environment that reflects Goodwill’s commitment to community impact.

What You'll Do

• Supervise daily activities on the sales floor, including merchandising, cash handling, and donation processing.
• Train and coach team members on customer service standards, safety procedures, and operational policies.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock merchandise, and ensure proper presentation of goods.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to foster a positive shopping experience.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility and balancing registers.
• Communicate store performance metrics to management and recommend improvements.
• Uphold Goodwill’s values by promoting an inclusive and respectful workplace.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a supervisory capacity is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working a flexible part‑time schedule.
• Basic math proficiency for cash handling and register balancing.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
