Environmental Monitoring Associate (Mon-Fri)

Eurofins, a global leader in analytical and laboratory testing services, is seeking a full-time Environmental Monitoring Associate to join our team in Rensselaer, NY. In this Monday through Friday position, you'll support our environmental testing and compliance operations by collecting samples, conducting analyses, and ensuring data integrity across our laboratory facility.

What This Role Involves

As an Environmental Monitoring Associate in Rensselaer, you'll perform essential environmental testing and monitoring work that ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Working a Monday-Friday schedule, you'll combine hands-on laboratory work with field sampling activities, contributing directly to the accuracy and quality of our environmental testing services. This is an opportunity to grow within a dedicated laboratory team while building practical experience in environmental science and regulatory testing.

What You'll Do

• Collect environmental samples from designated sites following standardized protocols and chain-of-custody procedures
• Prepare samples for laboratory analysis and conduct routine testing and measurement procedures
• Record and document test results with precision, maintaining detailed records to ensure data accuracy and traceability
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, performing routine checks and basic calibration as directed
• Coordinate sample logistics, scheduling field monitoring activities, and managing sample storage
• Support compliance documentation and reporting to meet environmental regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to troubleshoot testing issues and maintain quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or laboratory coursework preferred
• Ability to perform physical duties including sample collection, equipment handling, and outdoor work in various conditions
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to accurate record-keeping and data integrity
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to field sites as needed
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a laboratory team environment
• Basic computer proficiency and openness to learning laboratory information systems
• Valid driver's license
