Wabtec is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical operations and technical teams at our Sunshine Coast, Queensland facility on a full-time basis. What This Role Involves
As an Electrical Supervisor at Wabtec's Sunshine Coast location, you will manage electrical systems, maintain facility infrastructure, and lead technical teams through complex troubleshooting and maintenance work. Your responsibilities will span equipment inspections, preventative maintenance scheduling, safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement across electrical operations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with supervisory leadership to ensure our facility runs safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor electrical technicians and maintenance staff, ensuring quality workmanship and safe practices
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical maintenance, repair, and installation work across the facility
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, regulations, and Wabtec operational procedures
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults and system failures independently and with team support
- Manage electrical materials, equipment budgets, and maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
- Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance programmes
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work, safety incidents, and maintenance history
- Lead safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement across all electrical operations
What You Bring
- Electrical qualifications, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience as an electrician or electrical technician
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or technical environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices
- Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and workplace compliance requirements
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
