Director, Strategy and Corporate Development

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data and analytics organization in their search for a Director of Strategy and Corporate Development. This is a high-impact role supporting growth initiatives, M&A activity, and enterprise-level strategic projects. You'll work closely with senior leadership on executive and board-level decision-making, with significant autonomy and exposure across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise and business unit strategy projects, including market analysis, competitive assessment, growth opportunity evaluation, and strategic planning
• Drive the three-year planning process and translate high-level strategy into actionable business plans
• Author and present executive- and board-level materials on strategic direction and capital allocation
• Lead cross-functional M&A diligence teams across Finance, Legal, Product, Technology, and HR
• Set workplans, cadence, and escalation paths for deal processes from sourcing through close
• Support integration planning and partner with Finance to develop deal models
• Present M&A recommendations to executive leadership and manage multiple concurrent workstreams
• Partner with business leaders across functions to execute on strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 7–10 years of experience in Corporate Development, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, or Strategy/Corporate Finance roles
• Proven track record leading M&A processes from sourcing through close, including at least one deal owned end-to-end
• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
• Demonstrated experience presenting to and influencing C-suite and board-level audiences
• Ability to lead multiple workstreams and small teams in fast-moving environments
• Comfortable operating at all levels—from high-level executive strategy to detailed IC-level work
• Strong judgment, ownership mindset, and comfort working with senior leaders
• Proficiency with modern AI tools and workflows, or curiosity to learn and apply them
• Combination of top-tier consulting and M&A experience strongly preferred
• Direct experience with post-merger integration or enterprise strategic growth initiatives preferred
• Background in technology, data, analytics, or SaaS businesses a plus
